Hey, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.: We know what you did last month! The oh-so-photogenic co-stars of I Know What You Did Last Summer have been spotted nuzzling in public from Malibu, Calif., to Las Vegas. So, is it safe to finally call them a couple?

The March 27 issue of People magazine reports that Gellar and Prinze "talked and giggled for hours over sake and salmon tartar" at a Malibu restaurant, and that "just before he paid the bill, Prinze and his date shared a lengthy kiss."

Another Sarah and Freddie sighting was reported by Seattle paper The Stranger, which placed the two in Las Vegas over President's Day. "Mr. Prinze Jr. hugged Ms. Gellar amorously, and they strolled off holding hands," writes gossip columnist Shirley Rodell-Szyzmyjec.

In the Feb. 19 issue of TV Guide, Gellar — a k a Buffy the Vampire Slayer — denied romancing Prinze and shot down rumors linking her to Jerry O'Connell and Buffy's former boy-toy, David Boreanaz.

"That was never a romance, either," she says of Prinze. "The odds are you will not see me at [a movie premiere] with someone I am romantically interested in, which is why I'll go with Jerry or Freddie."

In the same TV Guide interview, Gellar dissed stars like Keri Russell for chatting up their sex lives. "Here's my thing: I made a rule way back when I was on All My Children that there would be a part of me I put out to the public and a part I keep to myself. This has caused me problems. It has caused me to lose interviews. But I need a life to go home to that only my close friends know about. … We give away too much information … I'm not interested in when or how [celebrities] lost their virginity."

Gellar dismissed rumors linking her to the soon-to-be-divorced Boreanaz, saying, "It's a complete fallacy. In fact, everyone on the Buffy set was laughing about the very idea of David and me as a couple."

As for her alleged liaison with Mission to Mars star Jerry O'Connell, she says she's just pals with her former high-school classmate.

The diminutive blonde actress says that keeping her relationships private is a "strain," but "that's the way I choose to do it. … I don't know how stars who have these big public relationships and breakups get through it."

The busy Gellar says that the demands of her job would keep her from seriously dating anyway: "I don't think I could commit to a really serious relationship for the simple reason that I wouldn't be there. I haven't gotten off work before midnight in months. And normally I get out at three or four in the morning."

She also says, "I tend to date out of the business, which makes it that much harder. I try not to date actors, because I know how insecure and crazy we are. I can't imagine going out with another one of me."
